Keepers of the Hood, a community service group made up of 4th-6th graders at Friendship House After School Program is currently collecting blankets to donate to the needy. They are trying to collect 100 blankets by December 1st. Bring clean, gently used blankets to Friendship House 3123 8th Avenue South. Call Jessica at 259-5569 for more info.

Ready for a unique experience? Check out "Beatallica" at the Railyard Alehouse -2526 Montana Avenue- on Sunday November 21st. Beatallica takes the stage at 9pm, and the cost is $10/person. Beatallica mashes together music from Metallica and the Beatles...songs like "The thing that should not let it be" and "And justice for all my loving". The 25th annual Holiday Food & Gift Festival will be held November 20th & 21st at Metrapark. Get your holiday shopping started early with over 250 vendors, arts & crafts booths, cooking demos, singing and dancing performances, and new this year, visit "Town Square" with the kids and get pictures taken with Santa!
